Sunshine, We All See the Same Sky

I spend this last weekend enjoying the amazing sun and blue sky in London with a few friends on the terrace having a bbq. It was such a beautiful and relaxing day, complete with caipirinhas from my Brasillian friend Fabi, some naughty chalkboard drawing and a good deal of barbecuing by my husband. Amazing photographer Chloé joined us as she finally had a Saturday off - check out her fabulous blog Caughtthelight here.

An Education

My Russian food education. It started with a large shot of raspberry vodka of course. Followed by a large shot of blackcurrant vodka. We ate caviar on bellini's with sour cream, traditional Russian salad, herrings and kebabs. It all ended with a large shot of orange vodka and a meringue dessert, which my "teacher" decided looked better than her own Russian version of creme brulee. I also learnt a new life motto: "the person who doesn't take risks, doesn't drink champagne". (Perhaps a little lost in translation..)

La Feria de Sevilla

This weekend I was invited to attend La Feria de Sevilla with some Spanish friends, which I unfortunately could not make! Every spring, the city of Sevilla throws a week long party and over a million people attend. Sevilla is considered the centre of flamenco music and culture, mostly known as "Sevillanas" because many of the composers and songs come from this Andalusian city. After seeing these beautiful photos, I am determined to make it there next year! via honestlywtf
